I think the meditation and visualization is the two that works for me. I use the meditation practice at home to lessen the stress I have to deal with work. I go to my garage and just relax and meditate for like twenty to thirty minutes. I use the visualization practice also for work to deal with my peers who are talking about getting certain things done but they don't and want to come to me to tell me to do it. In situations like that I visualize what the consequence will be if I get to angry and react from an emotional standpoint. I look at them half the time and tell them to do it themselves and stop being lazy. I am not going to do your work and mines also so the visualization technique helps out a lot. When using the meditation practice when craziness goes on at work or just dealing with people. Sometimes I use this method after working out also to calm my muscles and body I just enjoy the workout I just accomplished.

Hello Rueben,
ReplyDeleteThose are great ways to balancing your life between work and home. When you speak to your co-workers do you still feel like after the exercise you still feel resentment toward them? I think that you should rephrase you words carefully by not telling them to do it their selves and they are lazy. The positivity from the meditations and visualization techniques should keep you calm enough to say to your co-workers, “ That you have your work to do and if they need help when you finished what they have not already try to complete you will help if there is enough time left”. We as individuals not only have to create positivity for ourselves we have to help other individuals as well, because we may never know how they were brought up or what has and is going on in their lives. Great blog that express how you feel, but keep progressing toward calmness and positivity!
Ruben,
ReplyDeleteI think that using meditation to calm down in a situation that makes you angry is a great thing! Usually people don't think before they react to a situation that makes them angry. You have realized that you need to stand up for yourself but also take a deep breath. This will help you succeed in your career! Good luck with your future meditations!
